Shipping Policy

We want to be straight with you about where this comes from and how long it takes, because that matters more than a fast-sounding promise.

Where your order ships from

NookPalace lanterns are made and dispatched from our manufacturing partner in Guangdong, China. We do not hold stock in a United States warehouse, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. It is the reason the lantern costs what it costs.

Processing

Orders leave our workshop within 1 to 2 business days. Orders placed on a weekend or a public holiday start counting from the next business day.

Delivery times

These windows start once the order has been dispatched, not from the moment you click buy.

• United States, Standard: 9 to 15 business days. Free on orders over $45, otherwise $4.95.
• United States, Express: 7 to 10 business days. $12.95.
• International: 10 to 20 business days. $9.95, free on orders over $75.

These are realistic windows rather than best-case ones. Most orders land earlier than the far end of the range, but customs and carrier backlogs happen and we would rather set the expectation honestly.

Tracking

You will get a tracking number by email as soon as your parcel is scanned. International tracking can sit without an update for several days while the parcel is in transit between carriers. That is normal and does not mean it is lost.

Customs and duties

United States orders under the current de minimis threshold do not usually attract duty. For international orders, any import duty or tax is set by your country and is payable by you. We cannot calculate or prepay it, and we cannot mark a parcel as a gift.

Wrong address

If you notice a mistake in your address, email nookpalace@gmail.com immediately. If the parcel has not been dispatched we can usually fix it. Once it is moving, we cannot redirect it.

Lost parcels

If tracking has not moved for 10 business days, email us and we will open an investigation with the carrier. If it is confirmed lost we will replace it or refund you.

Batteries

Lanterns ship without batteries, because loose cells inside a parcel create air freight restrictions. They take 3 x AAA, and you can add a sealed pack to your order if you want them ready on arrival.
