Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the NookPalace store and anything you buy from it. By placing an order you accept them. Last updated 30 August 2026.

1. Who you are dealing with

This store is operated by NookPalace. Throughout these terms, we and us mean NookPalace, and you means the person using the site or placing the order. Contact us at nookpalace@gmail.com.

2. Using the site

You must be at least the age of majority where you live, or have the consent of a parent or guardian. You may not use our products for any unlawful purpose, and you may not attempt to break, overload or reverse engineer the site.

3. Products

We photograph and describe our lanterns as accurately as we can. Colours vary between screens, and because the shades are cast and finished individually there is small natural variation between units. That is not a defect.

Our lanterns are decorative lighting. They are not reading lamps, they will not light a room, and they are not rated for outdoor or wet locations. They run on 3 x AAA batteries, which are not included.

4. Prices and payment

All prices are in United States dollars. We can change prices at any time before you place an order. Any compare-at price we show is the price we ordinarily offer that item at, not an estimate of value elsewhere.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including where an item was listed at an obviously incorrect price, where we suspect fraud, or where we cannot ship to your address. If we cancel, we refund you in full.

5. Shipping and returns

Delivery timing is covered in our Shipping Policy. Returns and refunds are covered in our Refund Policy. Both are part of these terms.

6. Risk and title

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Title passes once we have received payment in full.

7. Accuracy

We try to keep the site accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that every detail is free of error. Where information is dated, it is dated, and we are not obliged to update it.

8. Third party links

Some pages may link to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or their policies.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected with an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify NookPalace against claims arising from your breach of these terms.

11. Termination

We may refuse service to anyone, at any time, for any lawful reason.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The version published on this page at the time you order is the version that applies to your order.
